I used to work at a little cinema as a projectionist.
The projectionist fulfils an almost archaic role:
projecting movies from giant reels high up in the
back of a cinema. While most multiplexes are
automated nowadays, not so for the institution
as the cinema where I worked, to ensure that a
great film will remain a magical treat.
